Our Go-To Spring Looks

April 17, 2018

Spring weather is always so hard to dress for. You’re ready to bust out your summer clothes, but it’s not really warm enough for tank tops yet. And what about white pants? Can you wear them or not? We think so! And don’t get us started on spring shoes – ugh. We’re not really “shoe girls,” if you will. Give us each a good pair for the season and we’ll be set. In the springtime, you could be wearing Hunters one minute, flats the next, and even boots on a really bad day. Today, we’re sharing our favorite, go-to spring looks that we’ll be sporting this season (assuming the weather cooperates!!).

Lauren’s Go-To Spring Looks:

Gathered or ruffled sleeves are always so girly and fun! This boatneck top from Madewell comes in black and coral (Lauren has both), and it can translate easily from work to whatever you have planned that night. It’s meant to be baggy and cropped, so size down. She’s wearing a medium in this photo, but ended up returning for a small. We love it paired with her favorite highwaisted jeans and laceless oxfords.

This next look is a little more tom-boyish, if you will! Chinos will be Lauren’s go-to pant choice as the weather gets warmer, and there are so many cute color options (these had a really cool red stripe down the sides – from Anthro)! We also dig the tie shirts that everyone is sporting right now (more linked below). This short-sleeve, striped button down is a closet staple and is easily interchangeable between casual and dressy outfits. Plus it’s under $20 – such a steal!!

Let’s chat about this boho, wrap top Laura is wearing. How flippin’ cute?! The arm-ties give it that extra something special and it pairs perfectly with the boyfriend jeans. We call this her hippy look 🙂

Neutral colors aren’t typical for spring but we love our grays and whites for any season. And, yes, white pants are okay before Memorial Day…who made up that rule anyways? This gray, Stella & Dot slouchy top will be on repeat while the weather transitions to summer. Add a pop of color with these drop, statement earrings or this really fun pom clutch (not pictured here).

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say that you’ve done a great job with this. Also, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Opera. Excellent Blog!
