What to Pack for Spring Break 2018

February 27, 2018

Spring break is almost here and we’re definitely ready for some sunshine and warmth! This year, we’re going on a trip to Florida together – yayyyyy!! Because what’s more fun than being on the beach with your best friends and a cold beverage in-hand?! Uhh..nothing. Today, we’re sharing what to pack for spring break 2018, and take it from the queens of over-packing…. try to limit what you bring to just the necessities. You’ll most likely not wear some of your clothes because you’ll be too busy soaking up the sun or catching up on much needed rest.

What to Pack in Your Bag:

The beach essentials

Let’s cover off on the important things first! You’ll want to bring your passport (if you’re leaving the country), sunscreen, a beach towel and sun hat, a water bottle, and some good sunnies. We also love these carryall bags from Stella & Dot. The black and white stripe Getaway Bag and Camo Crush It Bag are not only perfect for the beach, but also the airplane. Not pictured here, but definitely included in our bag, will be a Bose SoundLink speaker for the beach. Don’t forget a good book (or three) to read!

Pictured below: the Good Vibes Pouch – perfect for your sunscreen and important items such as your I.D. and credit cards/money.

A few swimsuits

Lauren is super excited to wear her new lime green, scallop bikini top ($42) and high-waisted bottoms ($45) from Urban Outfitters. Typically, this would be a little too pricey for a swimsuit, but she couldn’t pass it up! It’s super flattering no matter your body type and comes in black as well. She also bought a bubble-gum colored ruffle swimsuit from Target for just $28!

Laura got lucky with a couple American Eagle suits this year. How adorable is this cross-front one piece?! We’re obsessed with the color and it will look so good with tan, bronzed skin. It comes in 5 colors and is on sale for just $35 right now! The ruffle two-piece pictured below is just as cute! The neutral color is versatile, and the bottoms aren’t skimpy! That’s our kind of suit 🙂 It also comes in a variety of colors (watch out for AE’s swim sales). Laura bought the top (currently $20), and got the bottoms (also $20) for FREE!

We, of course, had to highlight these beautiful, white tassel earrings! How perfect are they worn for a night out, with a t-shirt, or even your swimsuit? Laura is definitely bringing these on the trip because the tassel comes off and you can just sport the stud too.

Casual Attire

We’ll probably pack more versatile pieces that we can wear during the day or at night time. The most important thing is to feel comfy on vacation, but we still want to look cute, of course! Lauren bought this lightweight, striped short sleeve shirt from Target for just $17.99. It pairs perfectly with jean shorts and sandals. She also bought a new jean jacket for night time, a pair of chinos (in case it gets a little chilly), laceless oxfords, and a crossbody bag. All of these pieces could be mixed and matched.

There are SO many cute jumpsuits out there right now and they can be dressed up or down depending on your accessories. Laura was able to snag one from Target. This Universal Thread jumpsuit is so fun! She is going to pair it with a pop of color statement earring and a cute pair of espadrilles. You can also shop some of our other favorites below.

Also, remember these infamous Tomgirl Shorts we raved about last year? We’re still obsessed with them! Laura is planning to wear them with this sweet, ruffle sleeve tee for a walk downtown or if we head out somewhere for the day.
