My master bedroom has come a long way from where we started two years ago. Why is it that we tend to put the bedrooms at the bottom of the to-do list, when they should really be at the top? Is it because people won’t see them as much as they see the rest of the house? I’m honestly mad at myself for waiting as long as we did because I feel so much more at home in this room now.
Laura and I talk about board and batten ALL OF THE TIME. We’ve pretty much put it in every room/hallway in our homes because it’s one of the easiest things you can do to add character – Andrew and I did this wall in one day. It cost under $100, including paint and what a difference it made!! Most nights, I can’t wait to crawl into bed because it feels so much more inviting now. There are still a few things we have left to do in this room in terms of decorations, but we’re so proud of what we done thus far.
For anyone with a new baby in the house, you’ll get to see how nicely the UPPAbaby bassinet stand fits right beside my bed. I’m SO glad we purchased that as an add on to the stroller. I’ve linked all my sources below (including paint colors), leave me a comment below and tell me what you think! xoxo – lauren
